Liz Peters

Director, External Affairs

Liz Peters serves as Director, External Affairs, at the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI). Joining the team in May 2021 as Senior Communications Manager, Liz is responsible for public relations and communications. She has nearly a decade of experience in public affairs and external relations in the government, corporate and nonprofit sectors.

Prior to joining IWBI, Liz managed the communications portfolio for a top New York City Council Member, leading and establishing the media and strategic communications framework for the
office. She has expertise in reputation development, executive management and editorial strategy. Liz previously managed communications at Avery Dennison with a focus on the company’s sustainability efforts. Earlier in her career, she supported reputation programs and editorial content at leading nonprofit organizations Girl Scouts and Jumpstart.

Liz holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Boston University. She lives in Manhattan, where she maintains wellness with cycling and self-care routines.
